Arthritis linked to female smokers
Arthritis linked to female smokers Female Smoker Swedish research shows smoking just a few cigarettes a day can more than double a woman's risk of rheumatoid arthritis. Even 15 years after quitting the habit, the risk is nearly twice as high among former smokers. But the study did find the likelihood of suffering rheumatoid arthritis reduced over time after giving up smoking. The study also found the RA risk increases with the length of time a woman has been smoking. source link: www.skynews.com
